Waterjet Machining
With the water-abrasive jet, it is not only possible to cut through but rather to a specified depth through special parameterization of the process. By using specially adapted machining cycles, derived from milling processes, almost any geometry can be created, allowing for roughing processes on high-performance materials with low tool wear and low processing costs. To unlock the technological potential of water jet machining for 3D processing of high-performance materials for turbomachinery, we efficiently integrate the water jet as a flexible tool into existing process chains or open up new application fields.
Pre-processing of Turbomachine Blades
The pre-processing of blade gaps in BLISKs (Blade Integrated Disks) can be carried out using the water jet removal process, similarly to milling, to near-final contour.
Structuring and Activating Component Surfaces
Component surfaces can be positively modified by water jet to improve the adhesion of subsequent coatings or bonding areas.
Removing Coatings from Turbine Blades
Coatings on turbine blades can be removed by the water jet in a particularly resource- and environmentally-friendly manner. This completely eliminates the need for elaborate preparation of the components or chemical aids.
Drilling for Turbomachine and Device Construction
Drillings of various shapes and depths can be made by water jet in almost all materials.

innovation Consulting and funding Advice
Innovation often requires funding, but the diversity and complexity of funding programs can be quite overwhelming. We offer not only valuable insights into the funding programs and processes as industrial partners and project coordinators, but also profound knowledge gained as group leaders and employees at the European research institute Fraunhofer IPT.
Recently, we won the innovation competition for enhancing digital transformation Next.in.NRW with an efficient process design for water jet milling through smart AI modeling („JetKI“) as project coordinator and in Gesünder.in.NRW with the development of bone cell interaction assays for preclinical evaluation of bone integration of innovative materials („KIAssEIntegration“). Both projects are supervised by the „Projektträger Jülich“ and „Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH“ and co-funded by the European Union. Furthermore, we were involved in multiple R&D projects as well as infrastructure calls from EBA, DZSF, IraSME, BMDV, and other organizations.
This enables us to provide efficient support throughout the entire acquisition and funding process, allowing our customers to focus on their core business while realizing innovative projects. Leveraging our extensive involvement across diverse industries, including turbomachinery, medical technology, production technologies, and digitalization, we provide our clients with expert consulting services for R&D funding programs and acquisition strategies.
